The Baltimore Ski Club was founded in 1947 when only the hardiest enthusiasts tackled the slopes. Much has changed in the last 75 years, but not the goals of the club.
We’re people who have banded together out of common interest to share our skiing and boarding experiences, to improve our abilities and knowledge, to save money on trips, and to socialize both winter and summer with a broad range of people. The club sponsors ski-related and other activities throughout the year to help keep muscles toned and to provide recreational opportunities for singles, families, single parents & students. Our club members range from teens to retirees and come from all walks of life. With such a diverse group, you’re bound to connect with people you like. The club has many opportunities to be involved in its activities in leadership and committee position including running of its numerous trips. There’s no better way to meet people and make lifelong friends.
Enjoy eastern charm, western powder or European elegance. A weekend getaway or a week long vacation can all be yours. The club sponsors over a dozen trips in the east, west and Europe each season from December through April. Costs are competitive and the company is hard to beat. All trip leaders are Baltimore Ski Club members and are there to help you have an experience to remember. Transportation, lodging and lift tickets are part of every trip we put together (lift tickets excluded for European trips). Some meals may also be included. The fun is always included. Why ski or snowboard by yourself when you can go down the slopes with others that are of your ability level.
Our monthly meetings are both fun and informative. We usually meet on the second Wednesday of each month from September through April. New meeting location at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1609 Kurtz Avenue, Lutherville, Maryland 21093. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Meetings are a good way to find out about skiing, the club and its activities. The evening begins with a short business meeting followed by a program of interest to skiers and non-skiers alike. The rest of the evening is then yours so you can sign up for trips, or just mix and mingle. In the summer, the club holds informal meetings at a local restaurant. These gatherings begin at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
